👂What’s new

Look at them. The Beast, that sexy, sexy turquoise dial, the white gold with blue sapphires. I will fight any many who says that there is a manufacturer out there that has a better lineup this year.
Honourable mention to the White gold Royal Oak 39mm “Jumbo” with a blue grained dial. It just bumped everything down a few pegs to sit on top of my holy grail list. Since it’s going for €78,000, I’m going to need a couple more of you to get your friends to subscribe. Thanks!

Time and Tide has a whole thing on why the Code 11.59, especially in steel, is a very cool watch. Go give it a read, they’re more eloquent then I am

The Nomos Tangente Neomatik Blue Gold might look like a bunch of Nomoses out there already. But they all look good. Their new model can be got in 35 and 38 millimetres, with a deep blue dial with sunburst polishing that’s gold-plated before being galvanized. Very cool
The 35mm model is $3.070, while the 38 is $3,390.

Everything you need to know about the new Timex Marlin: “The Timex Marlin Automatic Sub-Dial feels the most casual out of their current Marlin collection. They’ve taken their refined hand wound dress watch and made it more energetic with a new case, dial layout and an automatic movement. Part of me just wishes they elected not to include a date window.”

The newly announced LV Tambour Street Diver is a relatively uninspired compressor-style diver with only 100 meters water resistance and some decent color choices. It runs a ETA 2894-2 and retails for EUR 9,505.
All together, this should be a watch to be ignored. If it weren’t for some recent changes at Louis Vuitton. The brand stirred a bunch of controversy when they appointed Pharrell Williams their creative director. Pharrell famously has one of the best watch collections in the entertainment world.
A RM88 Tourbillon Smiley, a RM25-01 Tourbillon Chronograph Adventure, a RM 70-01 Tourbillon Alain Prost, a RM 74-02 Automatic Winding Tourbillon, a RM 011 NTPT Lotus F1 Romain Grosjean, an Royal Oak Concept Carbon 26265FO, and two AP Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar Skeletoniseds - a gold and a platinum version. That’s just part of the collection. The dude has so many RMs that Richard Mille made him his own version, the RM52-05 Tourbillon Pharrell Williams.
So, if this crazy watch lover takes over LV… can we expect some fine watches from them soon? Sure hope so!

⚙️Watch Worthy
A look at an off beat, less known watch you might actually like
You might not bee familiar with the Ollech & Wajs Astrochron. But you should be. It was one of the first chronographs made for pro divers and carried in it the Valjoux 72 movement. The same one that the original Rolex Daytona had in it.
Now Ollech & Wajs is remaking it for 2023. A nice piece of history to own
⏲️Wait a minute
A bunch of links that might or might not have something to do with watches. One thing’s for sure - they’re interesting
As the ‘23 F1 season looms closer, expect more links about it. Now we have a look at the watches drivers wear. Some interesting partnerships here - Bremont and Williams is a match made in heaven. And kudos to Yuki for wearing the Moonswatch
New Balance makes some unfortunately ugly shoes. For the life of me, I don’t understand the appeal. But they also make great shoes, making them my shoe of choice. Here’s how they intend on taking over the world.
Why do we ski? What drives us to fight through harsh conditions, wait on line for hours and freeze our ass off, only for a couple minutes of serenity on the slopes? Outside magazine tries to give an answer.
